At Blue Ridge Adaptive Snow Sports, Inc., (BRASS) we believe sports and recreation can improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and our mission is to do that through adaptive snow sports. Skiing and snowboarding empowers us. BRASS is led and run by volunteers dedicated to creating opportunities for people with disabilities to enjoy freedom of movement and the outdoors. Andrea Sherwin Scholarship Fund
On September 30, 2010, Andrea Sherwin, a vibrant member of our adaptive instructor team, passed away. Andrea, a gifted skier, loved being on the snow with her family and being on the BRASS team. A professor at Towson University in the Occupational Therapy department, she generously contributed her talents to volunteers and students.
In honor of Andrea, her family has established the Andrea Sherwin Scholarship Fund.
