FBI Fingerprinting + PA Child Abuse Clearance
As part of your consideration for volunteer work, you will need to fill out the background questionnaire which will be emailed to you and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. To remain in active consideration for volunteer work, you must complete the background questionnaire within 20 days of receiving the email. This will start a series of communications that will enable you to schedule FBI Fingerprinting and PA Child Abuse Clearance screening which is necessary to volunteer with BRASS
- You will receive an email from the email address [email protected] with the subject line: BLUE RIDGE ADAPTIVE SNOW SPORTS INC. Background Questionnaire Notification
- You will need to have your Driver's License # and Social Security Number
- We recommend that you double check the information you provide for accuracy to make sure there is no delay in processing your background investigation.
When you complete the questionnaire you will receive a confirmation message, you can print or save these to your computer if you like but you will also receive an automated email with your unique file number.
Within the next few business days after completing the questionnaire you should receive an email from CBY Professional Services [email protected] with the subject line: BLUE RIDGE ADAPTIVE SNOW SPORTS INC. - YOUR LAST NAME ,YOUR FIRST NAME - YOUR 6-DIGIT FILE NUMBER followed by another email from [email protected] with the subject line "IdentoGO Service Confirmation - UNIQUE CODE - PA DHS-Volunteer"
FBI FINGERPRINTING INSTRUCTIONS
- View and print the email from IdentoGO and take it along with a photo I.D. to your nearest IdentoGO site.
- Click on the link at the bottom of that says Click here to check your status or manage your appointment
- The system will automatically schedule a time and location, you can click to reschedule and have more time and location choices.
- If you choose a location out of PA you will be charged $25, save your receipt and BRASS will reimburse you.
- Once you arrive at the IdentoGO location, the fingerprinting process itself takes about 10 minutes.
CHILD ABUSE CLEARANCE INSTRUCTIONS
From the email you received from CBY Professional Services [email protected] with the subject line: BLUE RIDGE ADAPTIVE SNOW SPORTS INC. - YOUR LAST NAME ,YOUR FIRST NAME - YOUR 6-DIGIT FILE NUMBER follow the login instructions to your CBY account and scroll down to the header CHILD ABUSE CLEARANCE
1. Please go to the website that is provided by CBY and click "create individual account."
You will be prompted to create a user which you can make unique to you. The username you create is also known as your "Keystone ID." Please write your username down.
2. Upon receipt, use the temporary password sent to you to login: Once your account has been created you will receive an email containing a temporary password, return to the Compass site and login with the username you created and the temporary password. Please note at this time you will be prompted to create a new password of your choosing.
3. Create Clearance Application: Complete all the necessary fields and provide as much information as you can. The reason that should be listed for the Child Abuse Clearance Application is Volunteer having direct volunteer contact with children. If you are NOT applying for a volunteer in one of the organizations listed, please check the Other box and write the name of the organization BLUE RIDGE ADAPTIVE SNOW SPORTS INC. in the space provided.
4. Provide electronic signature: You also must electronically sign this document by providing your real name, not your username. Please enter this in lower case letters; capital letters are not accepted.
5. Enter prepaid code: To process this clearance successfully you must enter the pre-paid code you will receive where prompted.
