The Blue Ridge Adaptive Snow Sports (BRASS) held its 2025 end-of-season celebration on Saturday, March 1, at the Cortner Community Room in Fairfield. The event was inspired by Matt Eitel, drew over 100 attendees.
The celebration featured live music and catering by Bob Kasper of On The Edge Adaptive Water Sports Foundation, creating a festive atmosphere for all participants. Athletes and their families were highlighted during the celebration:
  • Jacob Bowser
  • Anika & Sophia Bjorklund
  • Victor Kulp
  • Brady Dunne
  • Chris Heinan
  • Eric Hoover
  • Ralph Gemmill, Jr.
  • Matthew Ogbonna
  • Colby Rosenblatt
  • Jerry Tan
  • Alan Tran
  • Cooper Wagoner Click here for Cooper's 10 Years of BRASS!
  • Andrew Ward Andrews Gift
  • Elizabeth Weidman
  • Jonathan & Charlotte Yang
  • Jayden Yu
This event served as a fitting conclusion to BRASS's 2025 season, showcasing the organization's commitment to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities through adaptive snow sports and recreational activities. The celebration not only recognized the achievements of the participants but also reinforced the sense of community fostered by BRASS volunteers throughout the year.

Season Highlights by Matt Eitel

Thank you so much for working with Jonathan this season. He has made lots of improvements with his skiing and loves to ski!  So appreciative of all you and your team does. We are lucky to have found BRASS.
Jonathan and Charlotte were so excited about their certificates and immediately showed them to grandparents when they got home. Jonathan has his hanging on his bedroom wall as asked me “Does this mean I’m a celebrity now??” Lol
See you next ski season!!
Thanks
Jen (Jonathan Yang’s Mom)
